Vintage Works was founded in 2012 by Gert Verhoeven. Gert bought a Roland Juno 106 back in 2004 and ever since got hooked on vintage analog synthesizers. One synthesizer after another got added to his collection, which inspired him to make new music and to create new sounds. But also to recreate the distinctive sounds of the artists from the 70’s and 80‘s.
Through this 'addiction' Gert got into contact with a lot of musicians and he noticed that most of them were looking for a reliable and trustworthy place to buy analog synthesizers that are still in good (technical) shape. And he knew just the place.
Over the last few years Vintage Works quickly became a household name in the (vintage) synthesizer industry. From musicians to museums and from collectors to investors, they all find their way to Vintage Works for quality and reliability.
We know how important it is to give classic items a solid package for their journey. That’s why we ship them in special made cardboard boxes or in a custom made wooden crate on a pallet. It depends on the dimensions, weight and value. If we prefer to ship an item in a crate we notice that in the description. We give you two shipping options: fast Express shipping or a bit slower and cheaper Economy shipping. We always ship items with tracking information and fully insured to the new owner. If you buy an item you’ll receive photos of the packing process as well.
If you buy several items together you only pay the shipping on the item with the highest shipping cost. When you checkout in the webshop it will calculate the shipping cost automatically.
A local pick up in Rotterdam is possible as well. Keep in touch by email if you’d like to collect your purchased item.
On classic items there are different VAT rules applicable. There is one price visible in the webshop, but some customers will pay additional VAT when they checkout. Dutch companies will always pay additional 21% VAT. Private customers within the EU don’t pay additional VAT. Companies in the EU with a valid number pay the price excluding 0% VAT. That means that the visible price is excluding 0% VAT already. Notice that we check your VAT information before we close the deal. We only ship the item to the same address as the address of your VAT registration. We make no exceptions. Buyers outside the EU don’t pay VAT at all.
All our classic items are thoroughly checked prior to the sale and most of them are serviced. If so, the service report is included in the sale. When you purchase an item you’ll always receive a testing video before we start with the packing process.

It is possible to trade your vintage gear (working and not-working) too. Please send us an email with the gear you’d like to trade and which item you want to buy and we come back to you as soon as possible.
Our brokering service gives you the opportunity to sell your instrument without the hassle before, during and after the sale. We sell the instrument for you to one of our customers around the world and become responsible for the handling, shipping and service.
Contact us by email if you want to collaborate with us. If we sell your gear on consignment the item must be here in our shop. We test it, determine whether service is needed, make photos, pack and send it to the new owner.
If service is needed, we pay for that. It’s important for us that the gear is in exceptional good condition before we list it.
We charge a standard, not refundable, stock fee which is 150 Euro. We don’t work with standard commission rates, but we make you an offer of what you will get when we sell your item(s). Everything above this price is our commission.
