Very rare Hohner Electra-Melodica, made in 1967 available for sale! In fact it’s one of the first monophonic analog synthesizers with a wind controller: a diaphragm is moved and more or less covers a photocell, which controls the volume envelope of the sound. Six different tone colours can be set, along with a switchable bandpass filter to give the sound an I-, A- or U-staining. These filters can be altered with a continuous push button according to a ‘do-wah wau-wau’ effect. Through a 5-stop octave switch the score of the three octave keyboard can be expanded to 8 octave. There is also a vibrato effect with adjustable amplitude and frequency.
This instrument is been serviced by Daniel Kitzig in Saarbrücken, Germany. The service invoice is part of the sale. Everything is working fine and it sounds beautiful! All originally accessories are included: hardcase with two keys, power supply (serial 622322) set at 220v, two mouth pieces, cables.
Cosmetically it’s in very good condition for its age with only some minor scratches and little wear and tear on it. Please check all the photos to get a good overall impression of the condition.
